Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it out to the pumpkin patch today! We went with our friends the Karrers and got some great pictures. The kids loved it! It is so much fun now that they are getting a little older. They have been talking about it all night, Jaden even remembered it from last year when I told him we were going this morning.

Hearing Baylee say "punkin" has got to be one of the cutest things I've ever heard. She gets so excited about pumpkins, probably because that's what Tony calls her. Aubrey even enjoyed it for a few minutes, until he decided he was hungry. Of course, Jaden just loves to be anywhere that Luke and Matthew are. They had fun chasing each other around. Then there is Caleb. He is just so adorable that I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. He was having so much fun sitting there in the pumpkins watching the other kids running around. Luckily, he and Aubrey are still immobile. The four other kids vs. the four adults was quite a challenge. Especially trying to get everyone to smile and look at the camera at the same time. These are crazy times for our family! Chaos and hard work everyday, but well worth it. Thanks to Nate and Anne for letting us tag along, we had a great time!

Happy Reformation Day!

Tim Challies has a wonderful post about Reformation Day today. Just don't click on it unless you have a lot of time, it's addicting!

Popcorn Balls!

Every October I make popcorn balls. It's a fun tradition we got from Tony's mom. When Tony and I were dating, each Halloween she would make huge, delicious popcorn balls and hand them out with candy to the trick or treaters. Their's was the most visited home in the neighborhood!

While I don't make enough for the entire neighborhood, my little munchkins were very excited about the whole thing. It was the first tradition type thing they've really been old enough to get jazzed about. It was so much fun, I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Fall Festival

After church today, we went out to the Fall Festival at Riverwalk with some of our good friends, the Karrers. We didn't get to stay very long because the kids needed their naps, but we had a good time and got a few cute pictures. Baylee and Daddy shared a smoothie.
Jaden, Luke, Baylee and Matthew watched the people on the bike path.

The Boys and Nate (aka "Dada Blue") had fun running around.

Fun at Granddad and Nana's

We spent Saturday at Granddad and Nana's and had a blast! They had just returned from vacation to the Smokey Mountains and had a new fishing pole for Jaden and a baby doll for Baylee. Jaden loves to go fishing in the pond, but since fishing season is pretty much over, Granddad, Tony and Jaden just practiced casting. They can't wait for spring! Baylee loved her doll, but found a buckeye while exploring outside that she carried around the rest of the day. Aubrey just spent his time inside getting to know Nana a little better. There were several wild ducks, in addition to the 3 regulars, that have come for the winter. We also got to meet the new cat and see Pudgy (the old cat) for a few minutes until they just couldn't take it anymore and hid under the shed. Of course, Ama and Uncle Steven came over to hang out too. All in all it was a great day!

First Smile!

Our little Aubrey gave us his first real smile yesterday, at 6 weeks. I was lucky enough to capture it because Tony was out of town. He smiled and flirted with me for about 5 minutes before he crashed out. That first real smile makes all of the sleepless nights totally worth it!
