My Worst Fear...

Right in my parent's back yard. What in the world??? I got a hold of my mom's camera to upload Christmas pictues and this is what I found, among other weird things. :) I think I'd rather see a mountain lion 10 feet away from my door than this thing.

Praying

I finally caught him this morning during our breakfast prayers. Every morning, we pray together before breakfast (actually, Aubrey had finished his food by the time we got to the table, as you can see!) Aubrey always holds his hands this way until we are finished praying and then yells out, "Ma!" for Amen. It is the cutest thing. He loves to be a big boy. =)

Cookies!

We had a very fun morning over at Miss Staci's house baking cookies! We had the Woodward's, Karrer's, Romanini's and Congdon's all together to bake, decorate and eat. Of course, the kids loved it and had so much fun! Aubrey was not too happy at first, but he was ok once he knew I wasn't leaving, (and he kept getting little bites of cookies.) =) Staci even read the kids a sweet story about the orgins of the Candy Cane. If you have never heard the story of the Candy Cane, google it. It is a very sweet story! It was our offical "1st annual" cookie party. Staci was so sweet, she got these cookie ornaments for us to remember the occasion with, and we wrote the date on the back of them. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Nana

My kids are so blessed to have grandparents who love them so much and do so many fun things with them. They also have the special blessing of great grandparents who are actively involved in their lives and love them dearly as well. Nana comes over on Wednesday mornings so that I can go to bible study. She is always very thoughtful and this was just such a cute example. The week before last, she was reading the kids a book that had a picture of cupcakes. This prompted a discussion about how much they love cupcakes, and how Jaden loves brown ones, and of course, Baylee loves pink ones. So this week Nana shows up with "custom" frosted cupcakes for each child. They loved it! I thought it was so sweet that she went out of her way to get a pink one for Baylee. She is the best!
